Who

My name is Kaddy and I've been an outrigger paddler for fifteen years. After being introduced to outrigger and SUP paddling on Maui, I moved to the PNW where I spend my free time paddling along the Columbia River Gorge. I love spending time on the water and sharing my passion with others.

What

A simple free forecast app that lets you know when conditions are right for your downwind run. No more mixing up numbers, units, or direction. Just a simple green means go when the winds are raging.

When

When we have time. This is something we're doing for fun, so it takes a backseat to work, family, and paddling.

Where

On the water. If you're wondering why so many of the featured runs are set in the Columbia River Gorge, it's because that's where we're located. We want to be everywhere people are on the water. The featured runs are a mixture of our favorites and some bucket list spots we hope to visit one day. Contact us if you'd like to see something added to the list or have local knowledge to share about the featured runs.

Why

Because it sounded fun. The idea first arose after some conversations with visiting friends about what to look for in the forecasts here vs what they were used to seeing back home. Wouldn't it be cool if the forecast app took all the interpretation and potential confusion away and just let you know when to plan for an epic run? That's our starting point: chart your course, catch the right window, and connect the waves. More fine tuning and features are on the way.
